Senior OHS/RTW Coordinator

With over 50 years of success as a highly respected prefab manufacturer and multiple sites, Calco Timbers is seeking a motivated Senior OHS/RTW Coordinator to lead and evolve our Health, Safety & Environmental systems.
This is more than just a compliance role—you’ll be driving cultural change, supporting injured workers back to safe work, and making a real impact on the lives of your colleagues every day.
Key Responsibilities
Own and further develop the company’s HSE Management System.
Utilise and develop cloud-based safety platform Donesafe for reporting, monitoring, and compliance.
Coordinate and lead RTW processes, including communication with injured workers, health providers, and WorkSafe.
Champion a strong safety culture by engaging with staff at all levels.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative obligations, including audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
Draft and maintain safety documentation, including SOPs and SWMs.
Collect, analyse, and report safety data to drive continuous improvement.
Facilitate safety training, pre-employment inductions, and maintain registers.
Support managers and supervisors in implementing proactive safety programs.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident, solutions-focused, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real contribution. You’re passionate about safe work practices—especially in helping workers return to work safely and quickly.
You will ideally bring:
3–5 years’ experience in a similar OHS/HSE role (manufacturing or logistics preferred).
Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum).
Strong experience in RTW coordination and injury management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HSE platforms (Donesafe or similar highly regarded).
Knowledge of relevant OHS/WHS legislation, codes, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
Ability to create and manage SOPs, SWMs, and policies.
A proactive approach to wellness, training, and workplace improvement.
Current valid driver’s licence.
