The Role

We are seeking a OHS/Safety & Wellbeing Compliance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure Hazeldenes meets its regulatory and internal safety obligations. You will be responsible for maintaining our safety management system documentation, managing contractor compliance, monitoring changes to regulations, and assisting with audits and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyse new safety laws and regulations to identify impacts, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the company’s Safety Management System.

Act as subject matter expert for contractor management, including administration and support of the third-party Contractor Management System.

Prepare and support Safety & Wellbeing compliance reporting and analysis.

Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory requirements (e.g., WorkSafe, NHVR, OHS, CoR).

Assist in developing and delivering compliance training and safety awareness sessions.

Monitor compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.

Provide oversight, coaching, and support on transport-related safety and compliance activities.

Maintain and update compliance registers, certifications, and associated documentation.

Liaise with internal departments (Farming, Operations, Maintenance, etc.) to align processes with compliance requirements.

Assist in the delivery and oversight of internal and external safety governance activities.

About You

Experience in safety, wellbeing, or compliance within FMCG, manufacturing, or another high-risk industry.

Strong knowledge of OHS, CoR, and related safety legislation.

Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them within a business environment.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong organisational and analytical skills with a proactive approach.

Experience with contractor management systems (desirable).

Formal qualifications in Safety, Compliance, or related field (preferred).
