About the role
Mackay City Auto Group is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee our busy General Fleet Service operations in Mackay, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of skilled technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the efficient operation of our fleet servicing division.
What you'll be doing
Manage a team of vehicle service technicians and support staff to ensure high quality and timely service delivery
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet servicing department, including scheduling, inventory management, and budget control
Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, employee productivity, and overall business performance
Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
What we're looking for
Proven track record of managing a successful automotive retail or fleet service operation, preferably in a leadership role
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
Relevant industry qualifications and certifications
