Your next career opportunity
As the Communications and Partnership Coordinator at the Collaborative Centre for Genomic Cancer Medicine, you'll lead the development and implementation of strategic communications to advance genomic innovation and precision medicine. You'll have the opportunity to manage key partnerships, oversee engaging research seminars, and create compelling content to showcase the Centre's groundbreaking work. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact in cancer research while honing your skills in strategic communications and stakeholder management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Implement Communications Strategy: Manage the Centre's communications and marketing strategy, including media liaison, content creation, and social media promotion.
  • Manage Key Partnerships: Oversee engagement and write project proposals for philanthropic, industry, government, and research partners.
  • Lead Digital Presence: Maintain and enhance the Centre's websites with unique, engaging content to promote programs and partnerships.
  • Produce Comprehensive Reports: Create annual reports on projects, partnerships, grants, and philanthropic gifts.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a strategic communicator with excellent writing skills, stakeholder management experience, and a passion for advancing medical research through innovative partnerships and engaging content creation.

You may also:

  • Hold a degree with substantial relevant experience in communications or a related field.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying complex information effectively.
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement abilities, managing diverse groups and competing demands.
  • Demonstrate high-level organisational and time management skills, thriving under pressure.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, EDM, and website management platforms.
  • Have experience in or understanding of the higher education or research sector (desirable).
  • Understand research and philanthropic reporting practices (desirable).

The Collaborative Centre for Genomic Cancer Medicine is a joint venture of the University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Recognising the need for interdisciplinary synergy, the venture will replace the University of Melbourne Centre for Cancer Research, bringing leading experts from both organisations together to transform cancer care.
