Based in in the beautiful coastal town of Coolum Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, this full-time role puts you at the centre of our mission to design and create world-leading, high-performance, blue-water multihull yachts.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Experienced Yacht Designer at Cure Marine, you’ll drive designs that are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality, while working hand-in-hand with our manufacturing teams to turn innovation into reality.
In this role, you will:
Develop innovative internal and external yacht designs that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
Produce detailed design drawings, renderings, and specifications for our current 55' yacht model.
Finalise the design of components and skins, and prepare accurate workshop drawings.
Render 3D models and visualisations to bring concepts to life.
Liaise closely with production teams and stakeholders to ensure designs are practical, feasible, and effectively executed.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends and technologies to inform and inspire your work.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards. to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards.
This business-critical position is highly visible across the organisation, with regular interaction with shareholders, directors, the CEO, and valued clients.
ABOUT YOU
You are a creative and detail-driven yacht designer with the technical expertise and passion to bring world-class designs to life. You thrive in a collaborative, hands-on environment and have the flexibility to adapt as the business grows and projects evolve.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Experience: 3+ years in yacht design, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality, innovative work.
Education: A degree in Industrial Design, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred).
Technical skills: Proficiency in CAD software including Rhino, AutoCAD and Siemens NX, with strong competency in digital design tools.
Manufacturing focus: Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, with confidence in signing off works against Cure Marine’s QA build data logs.
Mindset: A passion for manufacturing excellence, quality workmanship, and safety.
Attention to detail: Exceptional accuracy, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Collaboration: A proactive and supportive approach, with the capacity to work effectively across design and manufacturing teams.
Professionalism: Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude in every aspect of your work.
Flexibility: Comfort working in a low-volume, high-value production environment, with the adaptability to support multiple functions as the business transitions and grows.
