Pilgrim is searching for a skilled designer with both creative flair and practical smarts. Someone who understands great design doesn’t mean overcomplication — it means intentionality, restraint, and beautiful problem solving.

You may have experience working with a well-regarded architect or in a luxury residential practice. Either way, you know how to move a concept through to completion — with confidence, technical clarity, and an unwavering eye for detail.

The role...

Collaborate closely with the Director to craft thoughtful, high-impact luxury home designs

Lead projects through all phases — from initial briefing to concept design, design development, and full construction documentation

Contribute to and evolve Pilgrim’s design aesthetic, staying ahead of trends while creating timeless architecture

Develop and manage internal Revit models with a strong focus on precision and buildability

Work closely with the Construction Manager and engineers to resolve detailing challenges and ensure design intent carries through to site

Assist in developing Pilgrim's design capabilities with long term growth potential within the role

This role is suited to someone with...

4+ years of experience in residential design and documentation

Experience developing 3d visualisations using Lumion or similar

Proven experience delivering high-end custom homes in Australia with a strong portfolio to match

Strong Revit proficiency with clear, buildable documentation skills

Solid understanding of NCC, Australian Standards and local council requirements

Experience working through all stages — from concept design to construction documentation

Ability to run client meetings, consultant coordination, and manage design timelines

Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for buildability and design integrity

A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence working autonomously

Qualifications in Architecture or Building Design

This role is a full time position located in Mount Gravatt, Queensland.

Pilgrim is a boutique new home design and build company headquartered in Mount Gravatt. Specialising in architecturally designed luxury homes across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Pilgrim is on a mission to bring fresh, thoughtful design to South East Queensland's new home market.

Founded in 2020, Pilgrim has built over 40 custom homes and continues to grow with purpose. Internally, we’re a small and committed team of designers, builders, thinkers and doers. We limit our projects to just 20 homes per year to ensure exceptional quality, creativity and client experience.
