The Role
We are seeking an experienced HSQF Lead Auditor (Contractor) to join our team. This role is responsible for planning, leading, and executing HSQF certification and surveillance audits across metropolitan, regional, and remote locations in Queensland. As a Lead Auditor, you will ensure compliance with the HSQF standards, support continuous improvement, and uphold the integrity, impartiality, and professionalism of JPS Audit Specialists.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end HSQF audits: scoping, planning, risk assessment, and team coordination
Conduct remote and on-site audits in line with HSQF and JPS procedures
Facilitate opening and closing meetings and communicate findings clearly to clients
Prepare accurate, evidence-based reports and ensure all non-conformities are well documented
Guide and mentor audit team members to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
Maintain professional, impartial, and culturally sensitive communication with stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and team capability
Stay up to date with HSQF standards and relevant Queensland legislation
What You’ll Bring
Certificate of completion – HSQF Auditor Awareness Training (AAT) (QGSA)
Certificate of completion – Domestic and Family Violence training (QGSA module)
In-depth knowledge of HSQF Version 11.0 and Certification User Guide Version 10.0
Certified Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting HSQF audits
Strong report writing, communication, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams and mentor others
Understanding of confidentiality, impartiality, and conflict of interest obligations
Certificate of completion – Cultural Awareness training
Highly Regarded
Experience auditing diverse human services providers
Knowledge of Queensland’s human services sector and related legislation
Ability to contribute to internal training or audit methodology improvements
Familiarity with digital audit platforms and remote auditing tools
