A leading property development group with a strong pipeline of high-profile projects is seeking a talented Project Accountant to join their finance team. Known for delivering distinctive developments with a focus on quality, innovation and collaboration, the business offers a dynamic environment where you’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders and project teams.

The Role
Reporting to the Project Accounting Manager, this role will take ownership of project accounting across multiple developments. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, partnering with development and analyst teams, and driving process improvements across the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly general ledger reconciliations, journals, cost transfers and revenue adjustments
• Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and accurate project reporting
• Provide JV and partner reporting on project costs
• Partner with external consultants to ensure compliance with tax, audit and reporting obligations
• Monitor debtor and creditor balances and ensure ledger accuracy
• Support project settlements with financial analysis and tracking
• Prepare capital calls and drawdown notices as required
• Contribute to process improvements across finance and reporting functions
• Ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met

The Candidate

• Tertiary qualified with CPA or CA (or working towards)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within property development or financial services
• Strong technical accounting skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels
• Organised, methodical and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Proactive, commercially astute and solutions-focused with a “can-do” mindset
• High digital competence, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (experience with Business Central an advantage)
