We are currently seeking a motivated Risk and Compliance Officer to assist the Risk and Compliance Manager in the delivery of safety, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing, values-driven organisation.

This role is a permanent, full time position. The role can be based in Meadowbrook in Logan, Varsity Lakes or Robina on the Gold Coast. This role will require travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist the Risk and Compliance Manager to:

Support the coordination and implementation of the Colleges’ safety, risk, and compliance frameworks.

Maintain the Colleges’ risk and compliance software system (Ideagen - CompliSpace).

Manage the College’s excursions and activities compliance.

Organise and facilitate WHS Safety Committee meetings.

Organise and deliver compliance and WHS training sessions.

Manage internal audits, risk assessments and incidents across the Colleges’.

Manage policies, review, distribution and approval cycles in line with regulatory

obligations.

Prepare reports for the Board and key external and regulatory stakeholders regarding reporting, inspections and reviews.

Key Selection Criteria

Experience operating Ideagen CompliSpace or similar GRC system.

Experience completing risk assessments and events - based risk workflows.

Demonstrated understanding of WHS and risk management principles.

Experience in compliance, quality systems, or WHS in an education or similar

regulated environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively with others
