About the business

FCG’s core business is management consulting and assisting clients to achieve and maintain Quality, Environmental, Safety and Information Security systems to comply with the relevant International ISO Standards.

Compliance Support Services (CSS) is a division of FCG which focusses on supporting clients on a regular basis to assist with the compliance and administrative elements of the Clients’ business. The CSS Compliance Officer joins in as part of the Client’s team to ensure the ongoing compliance of the organisation.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join the CSS Division of FCG which is based at our Brisbane office. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with quality, environmental and safety management systems and promote a culture of safety throughout clients’ organisations. Travel to regional and rurally based clients is optional but is an opportunity.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Support clients with accurate, professional and practical advice.

· Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures.

· Provide training and resources to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and hazard recognition.

· Ensuring that regular on-site inspections and risk assessments are conducted.

· Ensures that Investigations into accidents and incidents are done, that reports are written and recommendations for corrective actions are made to prevent recurrence to minimise workplace hazards

· Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics, prepare reports for management to track progress and areas for improvement.

· Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective safety management.

· Collaborate with the team to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in safety practices.

· Administrative functions include document management and control, ensuring that meeting minutes are kept and other general support activities

· Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related issues and inquiries within the organisation.

Essential

· Relevant work experience

· Applicable qualifications preferably in the ISO Standards, Safety or Training and Assessment

· Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to different programs

· Positive attitude and self-motivated

· Highly literate with excellent communication and listening skills

· Ability to work in a team

· A self-starter

· Analytical skills and attention to detail

· Can do attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

Certificate IV Safety

Experience with and qualifications in ISO standards specifically

ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems

ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems

Flexibility in working hours and location.

Experience with management systems in the construction industry environment and Local Government.
