About the role
Rhodes Financial Group is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team in Capalaba, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm's adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management within our fast growing organisation.
What you'll be doing
Support Compliance Manager in preparing various regulatory returns and lodgements
Proof-read documents and marketing items to ensure compliant
Monitor transactions and activities to identify potential compliance breaches or risks
Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of our compliance framework
Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices
Provide guidance and support to the business on compliance-related matters
Whilst core components of the role are clear, you will appreciate that from one day to the next new and varied opportunities and challenges arise in the compliance space and you will thrive in an environment where you manage competing priorities and can contribute to continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a compliance or risk management role within the financial services or regulatory industry
Thorough understanding of financial regulations, including AML/CTF, AFSL, and ASIC requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
