The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Sales Manager with experience in Construction, Civil, Earthmoving Equipment, or Equipment Hire. This is your chance to join a growing team, make your mark, and help expand our presence across WA and NT.
You’ll spend most of your time on the road in Perth, with regular travel throughout WA (and occasional NT) to uncover new opportunities and build lasting customer relationships. With close support from our Group Sales Manager, you’ll have the tools and mentorship to succeed.
What You’ll Do
Drive sales of our nominated product range through solution-based selling, achieving set profit margins
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions
Adopt a proactive, “hunter-gatherer” mindset to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities
Manage the entire “quote to cash” process efficiently and accurately
Oversee equipment deliveries with support from our Sales Coordinator, ensuring smooth handovers
Represent WATM at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
Contribute to WATM’s strong safety culture and uphold our values of professionalism, honesty, and transparency
Consistently work towards achieving both individual and divisional KPIs
What You Bring
Practical knowledge of construction, civil, or earthmoving equipment (or related industries)
A strong sales drive with a proven track record of hitting targets
Excellent self-motivation and independence – you know how to manage your time on the road
Confident communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
Strong negotiation skills that create win-win outcomes
A natural ability to foster and maintain long-term relationships
