POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead our civil and earthmoving operations on a FIFO basis. This role offers exceptional career progression opportunities with a well-established contractor servicing major mining operations in the Pilbara

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Management:

· Report directly to the General Manager

· Supervise and lead a growing team of operators and supervisors

Client Relations & Business Development:

· Act as primary liaison between company and major mining clients

· Identify and pursue new opportunities on Mine sites

· Build and maintain strong client relationships

· Develop project proposals and presentations

Critical Technical & Commercial:

· Cost and quote earthmoving projects using various equipment

· Manage complex civil and earthmoving operations

· Maintain haul roads and transport infrastructure

· Utilize PolyCom road stabilization technology

· Ensure optimal equipment utilization and productivity

Operations Management:

· Oversee fleet operations including graders, rollers, watercarts, excavators, dozers, Moxy trucks, and diggers

· Coordinate project scheduling and resource allocation

· Monitor project progress and quality standards

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Qualifications:

· Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in civil and earthmoving project management

· Extensive experience with haul road construction and maintenance (critical)

· Extensive management skills with the ability to delegate and manager staff through your Supervisors.

· Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in costing and quoting earthmoving projects, controlling costs and budgets and tendering.

· Proven experience with PolyCom road stabilization applications

· Strong background in mining/resources sector projects

· Current White Card (Construction Induction) certification

· Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote locations

Technical Skills:

· Advanced knowledge of earthmoving equipment operations

· Experience with graders, excavators, dozers, rollers, and articulated dump trucks

· High standard of Proficiency in project costing, budgeting, and financial management

· Knowledge and Understanding of mining industry safety standards and compliance

· Computer literacy including project management software

Leadership & Communication:

· Proven track record in team leadership and development

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong negotiation and client relationship management abilities

· Ability to make decisions under pressure

· Cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse teams

ROSTER DETAILS

Our unique roster structure provides an exceptional work-life balance:

· Cycle 1: 4 days on, 3 days off

· Cycle 2: 4 days on, 3 days off

· Cycle 3: 8 days on, 6 days off

· Then repeat

This roster allows for regular time at home while maintaining operational continuity and provides more break time than standard mining rosters.
