We’re seeking an experienced and innovative Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team at a’Mare, Crown Sydney. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside Alessandro Pavoni, crafting world-class desserts in a premium dining environment.

What you’ll do

Lead the pastry section and mentor junior staff

Create and design new, exciting desserts for our menus

Prepare a wide variety of cakes, breads, and pastries using traditional and modern recipes

Ensure exceptional presentation and quality standards

Manage stock, monitor ingredient levels, and liaise with suppliers

Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness across the section

What we’re looking for

Australian working rights

Minimum 2 years’ commercial kitchen experience

Certificate in Culinary Arts, Pastry, Baking, or related qualification

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef at a senior level

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and presentation skills

Knowledge of food safety and baking techniques
