Our client is a Melbourne born and bred IT Services company with decades of expertise and service delivery from their head office in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. They offer a full range of onsite IT Services and remote IT Services including Server installations, Network setup, Office 365 and Managed IT Services. The friendly passionate team excel at developing “tailored IT solutions” or small to medium businesses, as well as onsite services for enterprises.
About the role:
As a BDM / Account Manager you will play a crucial role in leading the growth of business by managing relationships with existing clients while identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities. Looking for someone with a deep passion for technology, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a proven ability to find and engage new clients.
You will be involved in:
Conducting prospecting and appointment setting with decision-makers in strategically aligned organisations and target customers.
Facilitating initial introductory and qualification meetings with prospective customers.
Building strong relationships with customers, expanding the sales pipeline.
Assisting in the preparation and presentation of solutions and proposals to customers.
Working collaboratively with Marketing to support campaigns and events.
Responding to inbound leads & maintaining accurate and up-to-date data and notes in the CRM system.
Working with Account Managers during the handover and transition of the client relationship after contract signing.
Consistently achieving quarterly recurring revenue sales targets.
To thrive in this role, you will need to have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
Experience as a BDM who is comfortable prospecting and acquiring new customers, with the ability to articulate the value propositions of our service offerings.
Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in the IT industry (ideally in managed services).
Strong business skills, including running meetings with clients, business writing, and verbal communication.
