The opportunity

PMP Accounting, a boutique accounting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Taxation/Business Services Accountant to join our team in Malvern; we are conveniently located near Malvern Station. As an Intermediate Taxation/Business Services Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality accounting and taxation services to a diverse range of clients.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and lodge personal and business income tax returns, activity statements and other taxation requirements for clients

Preparation of annual financial statements

Analyse financial data, prepare monthly/quarterly management reports

Assist with budgeting and cash flow management

Provide business advisory services, including business tax planning and strategic decision-making support

Maintain client relationships and provide exceptional customer service

Stay up-to-date with changes in taxation legislation and accounting standards with monthly Tax Banter sessions

Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience

CA ANZ or CPA qualified

Strong technical skills in taxation, financial reporting, and business advisory services

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

A collaborative team player with a passion for delivering high quality services

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
