About the role
In the past two years the Hume Digital Health Program has implemented a single PAS (i.PM), a regional integration engine (Rhapsody) and a regional platform for facilitating access to clinical care (Miya Precision) – and there is more we need to do, much more.
Hume has funding to support preparation for an Electronic Medical Record – this requires technical planning for EMR readiness; a review of clinical services and health service EMR readiness, and a review of EMR solutions in use in Victoria against the needs of the region.
In parallel the region is running projects to connect to Victoria’s Unique Patient Identifier (UPI) and expand the use of My Health Record Technology. As we work together as a region to uplift digital capability and look for opportunities to collaborate – new business cases will be required to guide and implement the roadmap.
In regional digital health, we have blended teams of specialists from the health services, from third party providers, from within HRHA and we work with the Department of Health and our Vendors as delivery partners. The PMO will be developed as a critical resource to help teams to be high performing and drive an effective decision-making culture across the program’s governance.
This role is pivotal in leading activity for the Alliance so that it continues to deliver on the regional digital health roadmap and is ready to embark on an Electronic Health Record (EMR).
