The Role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our friendly and supportive team in Camperdown, NSW. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance function.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Processing payments of creditors via EFT and credit cards

Coding and entering tax invoices into the accounts system

Maintaining materials, consumables records, and budgets

Reconciling creditor accounts and managing bank transfers

Liaising with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoice queries

Maintaining compliance records such as insurance certificates and subcontractor statements

Supporting internal financial controls and ensuring accuracy at every step

Assisting fellow accounts team members and the Financial Controller with a variety of tasks

Processing sales and operations managers’ commissions

Researching and interpreting accounting policies and procedures when required

Providing day-to-day support to the finance department across multiple functions

About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment but can also work independently when needed. You’ll bring:

Diploma or degree in Accounting (preferred)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role

Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software

Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
