About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and motivated Lecturer Teaching Specialist (Academic), or (Clinical Practitioner) in Health Sciences, to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Health Sciences topics within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, with a strong focus on anatomy and physiology. You will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging learning experiences, using contemporary teaching methods and technologies. Responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, delivering lectures and tutorials, assessing student performance, and coordinating clinical placements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and professional development of future health professionals in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Lecturer TS (CP) also requires active engagement in clinical or community practice to ensure your teaching reflects current, evidence-based approaches.

About You

You hold current membership with a relevant professional association and bring significant experience in tertiary-level teaching and learning. You have a strong record of delivering high-quality, innovative educational experiences, contributing independently to the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching strategies and student assessments.

Your approach reflects a commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement. You understand the vital connection between teaching, research, scholarship, and clinical or professional practice. With excellent oral and written communication skills, you are confident in engaging diverse audiences and fostering effective relationships with students, colleagues, and industry stakeholders. Your collaborative mindset and passion for education ensure you create impactful and engaging learning environments.

Additionally, as Lecturer Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner), you bring current clinical experience and accreditation in anatomy and physiology, with the ability to maintain clinical practice alongside academic duties. You have independently developed, delivered, and evaluated innovative teaching strategies across classroom and clinical environments, including student assessment. Your approach is informed by a strong foundation in pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practices in Health Sciences.

The Lecturer - TS (Clinical/Practitioner) will have completed a Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Health Sciences.

The Lecturer - TS (Academic) will have completed a PhD or EdD or equivalent qualification is required in a relevant health related discipline.
