About the Role
Flinders University is seeking a Lecturer in Environmental Health to contribute to high-equality teaching and research, with a focus on microbiology, toxicology or health risk assessment. You will work alongside a passionate team in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, engaging with partners in government, industry, and the community to address real-world public and environmental health challenges.
In this Teaching & Research (Balanced) position, other responsibilities include:
- Designing and coordinating topics and curricula.
- Supervising honours and HDR students.
- Strengthening and expanding partnerships that enhance research and learning outcomes.
About You
You will hold a PhD in Public and Environmental Health or a related field, with a growing record of excellence in teaching and research. You will demonstrate experience in delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching in a tertiary environment, including topic coordination, curriculum design, and use of e-learning platforms. Your research will complement existing strengths within the University, supported by a track record of quality publications and the ability to attract external funding.
Additionally, you will bring:
- Accreditation (or willingness to gain it) from Environmental Health Australia.
- Experience and successful track record in supervision of honours and higher degree students (Desirable).
- Capacity to contribute to leadership in curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities. (Desirable)
