About the Role
As a Customer Care Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing outstanding support and resolving inquiries related to energy accounts. You'll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction across various touchpoints while adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
Location: Richmond, Melbourne
Pay Rate: $35 per hour + super
Work Arrangement: Hybrid working model after training
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Investigate and resolve issues such as billing disputes, payment concerns, service interruptions, and usage inquiries.
- Assist with account setup, updates, service transfers, payment arrangements, and disconnections/reconnections.
- Explain billing details, process payments, and address pricing-related questions.
- Promote customer retention through friendly and professional engagement.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update systems with relevant information.
- Provide on-the-floor support to new hires and participate in quality assurance processes.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Be comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment with shared goals.
- Demonstrate strong organizational ability and attention to detail in handling multiple tasks effectively.
- Possess good computing skills (MS Office proficiency) and telephone etiquette suitable for a call center environment.
- Prior experience in the energy sector or electricity retailing is highly regarded but not essential.
