Are you a content whiz with a flair for storytelling and a passion for connecting communities? This is your opportunity to do meaningful work that elevates Council's voice, builds trust, and delivers real impact.
Showcase your expertise in social media, website management, and project coordination to drive creative, community-focused communications. You'll bring a collaborative mindset and attention to detail to campaigns that strengthen engagement between Council services and the people we serve.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking digital communicator who can write compelling copy, create eye-catching content, manage platforms with confidence, and turn complex information into clear, engaging messaging. If you're ready to make every post, page and project count — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering creative, high-impact social media campaigns that grow engagement and spark conversation.
Writing, designing, filming, and editing content that cuts through – from Instagram Reels to community updates and everything in between.
Managing and maintaining Council’s digital presence across social platforms, website, intranet and EDMs.
Collaborating with internal teams to translate complex messages into clear, accessible content.
Using data to track performance and inform strategy — you know what works and what doesn’t.
Training staff in CMS and brand consistency, and troubleshooting basic tech issues with our web provider.
Supporting corporate advertising, media relations and content publishing across the board.
You’ll Need:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media, or relevant experience in a similar role.
A strong grasp of digital engagement best practices and hands-on experience managing content calendars and paid campaigns across Meta and Google.
A creative mindset with experience in graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Suite or similar).
Confidence in writing sharp, on-brand copy for diverse audiences and platforms.
Strong organisational skills — you thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
