Vineyard Manager
Location: Mildura, Victoria
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + Super (commensurate with experience)

Taylors Vineyards is seeking an experienced and motivated Vineyard Manager to take charge of our vineyard operations in Mildura. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be out in the field alongside your team, ensuring every aspect of vineyard management is carried out to the highest standard. The role requires flexibility in working hours, with the expectation that tasks are completed as needed to meet seasonal demands.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all vineyard operations, including pruning, canopy management, irrigation scheduling, pest and disease control, and harvest.

Lead, train, and motivate a small, dedicated team of vineyard staff and contractors.

Work closely with the winemaking team to deliver fruit quality that meets stylistic and production goals.

Monitor and maintain vine health, soil quality, and implement sustainable viticulture practices.

Operate and maintain vineyard machinery and equipment, ensuring reliability and safe operation.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of vineyard activities, compliance, and operational performance.

Develop and manage operational budgets for review and approval.

About You

Proven experience in viticulture or large-scale agricultural production.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in the field.

Sound knowledge of vine physiology, irrigation, pest and disease control, and sustainable farming practices.

Comfortable working independently, making informed decisions, and adapting to seasonal conditions.

Prepared to work flexible hours during key seasonal periods (e.g., harvest, spraying, pruning) to ensure vineyard requirements are met.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications in viticulture or agriculture (highly regarded).

A valid Victorian driver’s licence.

Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
