This full time position is based in Beechworth at our 50 hectare vineyard.

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, the successful applicant will have experience with vineyard tasks, agricultural machinery operations and maintenance.

You will work as part of a small vineyard team to grow and maintain our vineyards which produce super premium grapes for our Indigo Vineyard wines and Brokenwood Wines.

Key responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role covering the full range of day to day activities in the vineyard, including.

Assistance with annual pruning, canopy management and harvest.

Application of pest and disease programs.

General vineyard maintenance including but limited to, mid row and under vine maintenance, irrigation and other vineyard infrastructure maintenance.

Operation and maintenance of all vineyard machinery including sprayers and harvest operations.

Vermin control including feral animals and crop protection from birds.

Assistance with annual pruning, canopy management and harvest.

Commitment to providing a safe work environment for all.

Assistance with general farm work including sheep work.

Previous experience working in viticulture or agriculture is highly advantageous but not mandatory.

Driver’s license

Forklift license and/or Heavy Vehicle license preferable.

Strong mechanical knowledge is highly regarded.

Chemical User Permit or willingness to complete.

Have a positive attitude.

Willingness to work flexible hours during busy periods.
