Role Overview:

As our Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving our financial processes. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage invoicing, cost tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring the business operates smoothly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

· Generate and manage all outgoing invoices promptly.

· Review and assign all bills to the correct jobs and cost centres.

· Oversee bill entry into Xero accounting software.

· Manage the creation and tracking of purchase orders.

· Assisting with estimation of new projects

· Review employee labour costs and assist in determining client charge rates.

· Develop quoting templates and assist in job estimations.

· Track internal expenses and provide weekly reports on work in progress, profit, and loss.

· Plan and manage budgets effectively.

· Evaluate workshop overheads and implement cost-reduction strategies.

· Assess site vehicle costs and establish appropriate charge rates.

· Set up internal inventory systems and costings.

· Handle financial aspects of project contracts, including progress invoices and retentions.

· Assist in renewing company insurances to secure optimal rates.

· Review supplier agreements to ensure fair and competitive pricing.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

· Proven experience in a similar finance role.

· Estimation experience in fabrication or engineering

· Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and management.

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities.
