Customer Service Officer
Location: Epping, VIC
Employment Type: Temporary – Full Time (6 Week Assignment)
Reports to: Director of Food Service

About the Role
Join a dynamic team in a well-established food service business where your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Officer to be the first point of contact for our valued customers.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for processing sales orders, responding to customer enquiries, and resolving complaints across multiple communication channels (phone, email, fax, and mail). Your dedication to delivering professional, timely, and courteous service will help us continue to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage customer orders and enquiries accurately and efficiently

Maintain and update the customer and product database

Handle inbound calls and provide outstanding service support

Investigate and resolve customer complaints with a solutions-focused approach

Monitor product stock and proactively flag potential out-of-stock issues

Support sales teams with product information and order-related queries

Assist in minimising product write-offs by communicating short-dated stock

Ensure high standards of food safety, WHS compliance, and environmental responsibility

What You'll Bring

Mandatory:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer service environment

Strong communication and people skills

Proven experience with SAP

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Computer literacy certification

Preferred:

Customer service experience in food sales or FMCG

Formal customer service training
