Our client, a well-established consumer goods company with a strong presence in the Australian market, is seeking a results-driven Business Development Leader to drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and lead sales success across multiple retail channels.
This is an exciting role for a commercially minded professional who thrives on strategic thinking, relationship building, and delivering measurable results.
About the Role
Reporting to senior management, you will:
- Developing product distribution channels in Australia market
- Grow sales and market share across Modern Retail, Ethnic Supermarkets, and Food Service channels
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders
- Identify market opportunities and tailor business strategies to meet customer needs
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and deliver growth plans
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution in market
- Act as the primary point of contact for client concerns, ensuring swift and effective resolution
About You
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years' proven experience in consumer goods / FMCG sales or business development (Retailer, Distributor, or Brand background)
- Experienced in food services or food/beverage distribution business will be highly regarded
- Proficient in MS Excel and Power BI with strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of trade operations, store processes, and Australian import regulations
- Hands-on experience managing diverse trade channels
- Willingness to travel in trade (up to 30% of the working hours, mostly intrastate, occasional interstate)
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (Cantonese an advantage)
- Permanent work rights in Australia is essential for this role
