The Role
As the Director, Policy Coordination and Engagement Sustainable Energy Development you will lead a small, high-performing team to support the Northern Territory’s transition to sustainable energy and play a key role in shaping and advocating for the Territory’s energy interests in both local and national forums.
You’ll be responsible for driving strategic engagement, managing intergovernmental agreements, and delivering high-level policy advice on complex energy issues while overseeing the development of briefings, reports, and ministerial submissions to support the Territory’s transition to clean energy future.
About you
You’re a strategic thinker with a strong policy background and a collaborative approach, ready to lead. To be successful you’ll have:
Proven strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality work
Advanced policy analysis skills and the ability to provide high-level advice on complex issues across a range of areas
Proven ability to successfully manage and complete multiple projects with critical deadlines
Experience in managing and developing teams with high-level leadership and team management skills
Sound understanding of national and local energy policy trends and opportunities to be able to provide strategic advice
