As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based advice to support the development, review, and implementation of strategic policy initiatives and legislative reform. You’ll work across divisions to ensure that education legislation reflects contemporary policy objectives and aligns with the NT Government’s strategic direction.
About you
You’re passionate about shaping education policy and legislative reform in the Northern Territory. To be successful you’ll have:
Demonstrated ability to use strategic, conceptual and analytical skills to understand and provide advice in complex legislative and policy environments.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate legal and policy advice through verbal and written briefings to a range of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective networks with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultures.
Experience in the development and operationalisation of strategic frameworks, governance and work plans that support legislative and policy objectives.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in corporate governance, legislative processes, and project management.
