Senior Estimator – Substation & Data Centre Projects

Full House is partnering with a leading Australian energy business delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, including BESS, substations, and data centres that power Australia’s cleaner, more connected future.

We’re looking for a Senior Estimator who can scope, price, and package complex electrical infrastructure projects from the ground up. You’ll play a pivotal role in the bid phase working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to create accurate, competitive costings then ensure a seamless handover to the delivery team. The current team has 5 estimators.

What you’ll be doing

Prepare detailed project costings by collaborating with customers, suppliers, delivery partners, and internal stakeholders.

Develop delivery plans with clear methodology and assumptions to support both tendering and execution.

Review and interpret project documents, drawings, and specifications.

Engage with subcontractors, obtain quotes, and organise work packages.

Negotiate costs and rates with customers, suppliers, and quantity surveyors.

Prepare clear, compelling written proposals.

Lead the handover from sales to delivery teams, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.

Feed lessons learned from past projects into future estimates.

What we’re looking for

Background in electrical asset construction, design, or estimating.

Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience.

High attention to detail and personal ownership of work.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Project.

Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.

Current driver’s licence for travel between sites.
