About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Kevin R Sheather Electrical on the Central Coast, NSW. As our Electrical Estimator, you will play a vital role in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates that help us secure new business. This is a full-time position based in our Wyong office.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify all required electrical materials and labour

Calculating material quantities, labour hours, and other direct costs associated with electrical installations

Preparing detailed cost estimates and submitting bids for construction projects

Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements

Staying up-to-date with industry trends, material pricing, and labour rates to maintain accurate and competitive estimates

Supporting the tendering process by providing timely and responsive information to clients

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within the construction industry

Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to calculate accurate quantities and costs

Familiarity with estimating software and tools, such as Excel and specialized estimating programs

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
