Customer Service Team Member – Health, Medical & Sports Medicine Focus

APE Medical is a sports medicine and rehabilitation wholesaler and distributor owned and operated by two sports physiotherapists with a dedicated team of 25 members.

We supply medical supplies to Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and allied health clinics, as well as a large number of sporting organisations including professional sporting teams. We also run a physical and web-based shop supplying rehab products direct to the public. Our retail shop, offices and warehouse are located in Osborne Park, just off the freeway.

This role is primarily focused on customer service, supporting customers via email, phone, and in-person, with additional variety from working in other areas of the business when required.

About the Role

As a key member of our Customer Service Team, you will be a key point of contact for our customers. The core of the role is handling customer enquiries, returns, and administrative tasks related to customer enquiries, product questions, sales queries and orders. You’ll also, at times, be required to assist customers in our retail store, guide them to the right products, and occasionally help in other departments such as sales or accounts when needed.

Hours: Full-time preferred, but flexible for the right candidate if full-time is not their preference, with a minimum commitment of at least 30 hours per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries via email, phones, and in-person in a friendly, professional manner.

Process returns, refunds, and exchange requests.

Create and process customer sales invoices, orders, and quotes.

Support other departments when needed (e.g., sales, accounts, retail).

Help serve retail shop customers and guide them through product selection.

Process payments using EFTPOS and other facilities.

Manage and update website product information and content.

Organise couriers, freight, and delivery documentation.

Essential Skills & Attributes

Proven experience in customer service, with strong interpersonal skills.

Team player who collaborates well with colleagues.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

High level of computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, software, and processes.

Willingness to approach new tasks and challenges with an open mind and eagerness to learn.

Sound grammar, communication, and basic mathematical skills.

Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work unsupervised and multi-task in a busy environment.

Training: Product and procedural training will be provided.

Remuneration: The level of remuneration will vary, dependent on applicant's experience and skill set.

The successful applicant will be required to provide police clearance. The role is full time ideally but hours can be flexible and negotiated.
