Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to play a key role in shaping safe, functional, and future-ready spaces that support our people and the communities we serve.
In this pivotal position, you will lead a diverse portfolio of projects across property development, infrastructure works, and office relocations, taking ownership from inception to completion and ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Beyond bricks and mortar, this role is about enabling positive change: engaging stakeholders, managing risks, and guiding people through transitions so that every project strengthens our organisational capability and helps us achieve our mission.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, overseeing multiple projects from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate planning, design, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Plan and execute office relocations, including logistics, space planning, communication, and minimising business disruption.
- Drive stakeholder engagement by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Implement effective governance and risk management by establishing governance forums, identify risks and issues, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead change management initiatives in managing the people, process, and service impacts of projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
- Manage budgets and reporting, monitor project expenditure, provide accurate financial and progress reporting, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Requirements for success
- Certifications/Qualifications in project management, business management or related discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in property development.
- Understanding of relevant legislative and planning frameworks
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and issues and develop effective solutions.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and evolving project requirements.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
Your benefits
- Rewarding work - every day you know you're making a real difference
- Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)
- Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support
- Volunteering opportunities
- Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave
- Extra leave including: Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off
