Client-Side Project Manager – Construction
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Client-Side Project Manager to join our growing team. Preferably with experience working for a principal contractor and/or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate a range of stakeholders are essential, as you’ll be representing our clients from early planning through to project completion — managing consultants and contractors, overseeing timelines and budgets, and ensuring quality outcomes at every stage.
About Us
Farrell Coyne Projects is a privately owned project management firm with over 30 years of successful delivery across a wide range of sectors in the property and construction industry.
We’re a small but agile team with a solid and exciting pipeline of work. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for talented individuals who want to be part of a supportive, high-performing team.
About the Role
You’ll work alongside experienced senior project managers and gain exposure across all stages of project delivery — from feasibilities, development applications and design coordination through to construction and handover.
Projects range in value from $1.5M to $100M and span the education, commercial, aged care, independent living, hospitality, and residential sectors.
This role is ideal for someone who takes a hands-on approach, thinks strategically, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. You’ll have the opportunity to manage diverse projects and play a key role in shaping successful outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from concept to completion
Coordinate design development and consultant engagement
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
Oversee budgets, timelines, and contract administration
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities
Make informed, confident decisions under pressure
Maintain clear, consistent project documentation
Deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget
What We’re Looking For
Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with time spent at a principal contractor (preferred but not essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management capabilities
Experience in design coordination and project documentation
Ability to interpret technical plans and specifications
Solid knowledge of construction methodologies and the project lifecycle
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Why Join Us?
You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that values professionalism, initiative, and integrity. We offer opportunities to work on a diverse range of projects, develop your skills, and grow your career in a company that genuinely invests in its people.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your project management career and make a real impact — we’d love to hear from you.
Direct applicants only – no calls from recruitment agencies, please.
