Role Title: Business Development Manager – Consumer Electronics
Reports to: CEO
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Salary: $140K base + 12% super + uncapped commission
OTE: $200K – $220K+ realistic in year one

Key Responsibilities
Identify, pitch, and win new high-value retail, e-commerce, and distribution accounts in Australia & NZ
Negotiate commercial terms and ensure profitable, high-margin deals
Secure 20+ new sales channels annually, from major chains to niche specialists
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities across multiple categories and regions
Work closely with marketing, sales operations, and product teams to ensure brand launches hit target
Provide market intelligence to guide future growth strategies
What Success Looks Like
Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual GP$ targets
Securing new accounts that meet minimum annualised revenue thresholds
Expanding Clever Gear brands into at least 20 new channels per year
Consistently delivering profitable growth in line with company targets
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record in B2B sales within consumer electronics distribution (or similar FMCG/retail categories)
Established network of retail and channel contacts in Australia/NZ
Strong commercial acumen — confident with margins, GP$, and profitability drivers
Genuine passion for the consumer electronics industry and products — curious, hands-on, and able to translate features into customer value and commercial wins
High-energy, self-motivated, and relentless in pursuit of new business
Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills
The Rewards
$140K base + $16,800 super + uncapped commission (3% GP$) + $1K per new account
Realistic OTE in year one: $200K – $220K+
