Remuneration: $75,011.44 to $87,199.34 pa + superannuation & leave loading
Campaspe Shire Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our collaborative finance team. In this role, you will contribute to the effective and responsible management of Council’s financial operations, working alongside colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting services.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Perform the bank reconciliation process.
- Perform weekly/ fortnightly finance tasks.
- Assist with the completion of month end reconciliations.
- Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger and sub ledgers.
- Complete Council’s monthly BAS, annual FBT return and other statutory returns.
- Be the point of contact for banking services within Council.
- Assist the Manager Finance and Investment and Finance team.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Degree or diploma in accounting, or lesser formal qualification with relevant experience.
- Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Valid National Police Check and Driver’s Licence.
