Yakka Finance is an award-winning boutique commercial asset finance brokerage focusing on assisting Australian business owners secure the funding they need from over 60 bank & non-bank lenders. We make it easy for them to purchase the equipment to run and grow their businesses rather than using their own capital.

Our core focus is helping businesses secure the right finance solution from the banks across a wide range of industries including Tradies, Construction, Heavy Transport, Earthmoving, Agricultural, Manufacturing, Medical, Forestry, and much more. The assets we finance are mentioned below.

The Role

Based in Sydney (North Sydney & Sydney CBD), we are searching for an energetic Business Development & Relationship Manager who wants to expand and grow our brand increasing leads/opportunities back into the business. We also require someone to nurture our existing relationships with referral partners to increase more opportunities back into the company.

The Managing Director of Yakka Finance has won “Asset Finance Broker of the Year” two years in a row in 2023 & 2022 and now requires a Business Development Manager to help win more clients and referral partners as he mentors the new staff internally. He needs a sales gun to help!

Yakka Finance is heavily awarded and well respected in their field of asset finance which should help the successful candidate build relationships quickly in the industries we support as they have the team behind them to execute.

We are effectively looking for the face of the brand to continually build relationships, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and continually strive everyday to deliver more finance opportunities to the business from a wide variety of channels.

The equipment we finance for businesses daily includes but is not limited to:

Vehicles – Company Cars, Luxury Vehicles, Utes, Vans

Earthmoving Equipment – Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Skid Steers, Positracks etc

Transport – Trucks & Trailers

Cranes – Mobile, Tower, Telehandlers

Drilling – Drill Rigs

Mining Equipment – Dump Trucks, Scrapers etc

Material Handling – Forklifts, Access, Crushing, Screening, Conveyors

Tertiary Equipment – Generators, welders, surveying equipment, GPS equipment etc

Manufacturing – CNC Machines, Food Processing etc

Medical Equipment

We can finance any equipment for any business

Role responsibilities

The sole person driving leads into the business for the finance broking team to process for you. You are the person bringing growth.

Build strong referral partner relationship networks across Australia including Accountancy Firms and Mortgage Brokers so they can have a strong asset finance offering to offer their clients our expertise

Build relationships with any business owners across Australia across a wide range of industries and build trust with them that we are the right partner for all their equipment finance needs

Build strong referral partner relationships in Truck, Equipment, Machinery, and Car Dealerships and their Salesman that require finance for their customers

Represent the brand at client lunches and industry/social events e.g. Industry Events, Golf, Boats and Sporting Events

Contributing regularly to the development of new and improved growth strategy ideas, technology improvement & processes within the team and business.

Establishing yourself as a key go-to person for asset finance across all industries

Attending Trade Events across Australia

About you

You’re already a top performer — have to have proven sales results, passionate about leading the sales strategy of this company, competitive and a love for winning.

An extremely personable and likeable person that people want to do business with

Want the comfort of a high base salary so you can focus on driving sales without the stress of a low base

Takes pride in their sales skills and has demonstrated proof of really performing in their current sales role

A very confident individual and high-performing salesperson in your current role

Hungry & Driven individual who wants to succeed and make an impact in a small business

Exceptional phone communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport easily with new potential clients and referral partners

A Current Driver's Licence

Minimum 3 years of sales, relationship management, and business development experience

A sociable and popular character in your work and personal life which results in a strong network

Strong influencing and negotiation skills

Important to note: You will not be doing the actual finance applications (if you have aspirations to be a broker down the line then this could be worked into your role).
