About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage and oversee the school’s financial operations. This pivotal role supports the Principal and School Leadership in ensuring the ongoing financial sustainability of our school.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of school financial processing, administration, and compliance.

Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports, and Business Activity Statements.

Maintain the school’s fixed asset register, budget, and five-year financial forecast.

Administer accounts receivable, including school fee billing, concessions, and debt management.

Oversee accounts payable, procurement, and supplier payments.

Support payroll processing, contract renewals, and staff registration compliance.

Assist with financial aspects of capital projects, insurance renewals, and audits.

Provide informed and friendly customer service to the school community.

About You

Demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably in a school or not-for-profit environment.

Strong understanding of accounting processes, payroll, and budget management.

Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.

Proficiency in relevant software systems (e.g. accounting, payroll, Microsoft Office).

Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a child-safe environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain).

Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or business administration (desirable).

Current Working with Children Check and relevant clearances.
