Banksia Medical Centre is an award winning, fully accredited family practice with clinics located in Newcomb and Torquay.

We provide holistic and comprehensive family healthcare via a team of healthcare professionals including GP's, Psychologist's, Psychiatrist & Podiatrist.

An exciting opportunity exists for a vibrant and engaging person to join our family medical centres working across both our sites in Newcomb and Torquay.

This role is perfect for someone who is a professional, team player with excellent communication skills and a can do attitude.

About you

Banksia Medical Centre is a fast pace, growing and changing clinic, so having previous medical reception experience is preferable. The ideal candidate will:

Have knowledge of Best Practice, which is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided

Previous administrative experience is desirable

Excellent written and communication skills

Professional appearance with a positive and friendly manner

Ability to work under pressure with strong multitasking skills

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, late nights and Saturday mornings

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Welcoming patients into the practice in an efficient and courteous manner

Delivering exceptional customer service at all times

Ensuring staff and patient confidentiality and privacy

Scheduling and managing patient appointments

Answering phone calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner

Patient billing and processing of payments

Performing general administrative duties such as scanning, faxing & emailing

Assisting practitioners as needed

Ability to take direction and ask questions when needed

Hours:

3 days per week *opportunity for additional shifts for staff leave/sickness

Tuesday 9am - 5.30pm

Wednesday 9am - 6pm

Thursday 8.15am - 4.30pm

*Saturday 8.45am - 12.15pm - 1 in 4 rotation with reception team
