About Us

Eastern Heart Clinic is an interventional cardiology clinic located at the Prince of Wales Hospital campus at Randwick in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. We are one of the largest and busiest interventional cardiology hospitals in Australia, performing more than 5,500 procedures annually. Our team includes procedural cardiologists, clinical cardiologists, visiting cardiac and vascular surgeons, anaesthetists, radiographers, specialist nurses, theatre personnel and administrative staff. We’re a unique health service in that we operate a private cardiology service within a major tertiary hospital. This means both private and public patients have access to this highly specialised service regardless of their referral source. Our mission is to provide best practice in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiac studies, patient care, clinical teaching and research.

Role Purpose

Manage the full accounts payable function, including invoice processing, coding, reconciliation of statements and A/P inbox in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly Payment of Invoices due

Maintain accurate day to day financial records and general ledger for multiple entities

Payment of Insurance Instalments each month

Reconcile Credit Cards & Posting of Journals

Reconcile the Creditors to Statements

All invoices have appropriate back up, as well as Purchase Orders coded

Assist in cashflow management

Assist in month end closing

Support the accounts / administration team, day to day operation as required

File all documentation for payable in appropriate server folders

Collaborate with creditors on payment terms

Provide accounts payable support across multiple clinical sites, including occasional on-site presence

Provide support for Inventory Management / Stock take, as required

Skills & Experience

2–5 years of experience in accounts payable role

Strong developed communication skills via person and telephone

Preferred experience with MYOB

Solid understanding of Banking/Accounts Payable fundamentals and best practice

National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required, immunisation compliance as per clinic policy
