As they prepare for AFRS year-end reporting and the subsequent external audit, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join the finance leadership team on a short-term contract.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Controlling ANZ, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of year-end statutory reporting and audit readiness. This hands-on role will require a strong technical foundation and the ability to work at pace in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the preparation and submission of AFRS-compliant year-end financial statements
  
• Managing the external audit process from planning through to completion
  
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements across multiple entities
  
• Supporting the finance team with technical accounting queries and audit documentation
  
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to strengthen reporting and controls
  

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification, ideally with Big 4 training
  
• Proven experience in year-end reporting and audit delivery within a complex or multinational environment
  
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS, AFRS, and statutory compliance
  
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to lead under pressure and tight deadlines
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
