Our Sydney branch has an opportunity for a driven individual with a mechanical background, to lead our team of mechanic and trade assistants across two depots.

About the role

Our Sydney branch is currently seeking a Workshop Co-Ordinator to assist in maintaining our fleet of modern Equipment. We have a well-equipped workshop and offer a great working environment with a small & friendly team.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities will include:

Full control of all workshop activities reporting directly to the Branch manager and the National Workshop Manager

Repairs and maintenance in line with National Standards, Company Policies and Procedures

Allocate workshop activities in conjunction with our fleet control team.

Set and Maintain workshop budgets and team KPI’s

Provide exceptional Customer Service

Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain cost efficiencies, book in repairs

Communicate clearly with customer regarding annual inspections and servicing standards.

Action or delegate 24/7 service for breakdowns and Repairs.

Systems and Processes

Able to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Raising and closing of workshop jobs

Most of the work completed will be on Volvo Prime Movers with some trailer service and repairs also being required. You will need to have experience with both

You will be responsible for ordering replacement parts as required

Use company standard business system Insphire

Data entry of job cards and maintenance records in business system and mobile devices.

Assist in the development of efficient business processes for workshop developments.

Skills and Experience

Workshop Experience (10 years) - Desirable

Team Leadership Experience (5 years) - Essential

Volvo Drivetrain Experience - Desirable

Computer System Skills – Essential

Jailtest experience – Desirable

HR/HC licence – Desirable
