We currently have one (1) Permanent Part-time Vacancy (0.6FTE or 45hrs/fortnight) available for immediate filling.

About the role

As the Administrative Assistant, you provide administrative and secretarial services to the Manager and staff at the Museum of the Great Southern, including basic financial and human resource administrative processing, diary coordination, and records management.

The role also assists with the coordination of bookings and promotion of the Museum’s spaces for hire, and assists the Operations Manager to ensure that the venues operate compliantly with regards to Health, Safety and statutory regulations, and that internal policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Secretarial: Answer and direct telephone calls and receive visitors, responding to enquiries competently and efficiently; this also includes professional stakeholder liaison on behalf of the Manager; and typing and tracking correspondence, as required; will arrange meetings, including preparing meeting agenda and taking minutes when required; arranging staff travel including travel itinerary, visas, and accommodation.
  • Administrative: Provide quality word processing, as well as basic financial and human resources administration; undertake research on requests/enquiries and analyse documents, coordinating information as required; database management and preparing PowerPoint presentations as required.

  3. Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
