The Role:
As an administration assistant you’ll manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate details and timely billing. You'll handle phone calls with professionalism, schedule appointments, and maintain efficient documentation. You'll also set up billing accounts, validate referrals, and provide accurate information to patients, visitors, and stakeholders.
Remuneration starting at Administration Officer Grade 1 (HS1) under the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven interpersonal and time management skills
The ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team
The ability to offer exceptional customer service at all times
Previous health or medical services experience, and an intermediate level of computer skills within the Microsoft suite is essential.
Previous experience in a medical administrative or reception role is desirable, along with a Certificate in Medical Terminology.
Experience in hospital mainframe systems, patient management and clinical systems and medical software packages (Medical Director Clinical and BlueChip) would be advantageous.
