Join Nellers as a Business Development Manager where you will play a pivotal role in growing sales, promoting our brand and building enduring customer relationships. In this role you will proactively generate and pursue business opportunity leads through a range of avenues, managing the sales process through to closing mutually beneficial contracts with new clients. The role will also play a key part in proactively identifying and acting on ways to retain current clients.
Nellers is in an exciting period of growth and change and is evolving our product offerings to better meet the needs of clients and the changing employment landscape. This role will work with the leadership team to inform and shape these offerings as well as mentor other employees to have a business development mindset, collaborating with, sharing knowledge and supporting team members to grow Nellers.
About the role:
Find and cultivate new business by developing and implementing strategies that attract and engage new clients
Seek out and navigate commercial relationships with partners and vendors.
Develop and manage a Lead Database.
Proactively engage with existing clients to increase knowledge and access to products and services.
Prepare accurate and cost-effective quotes.
Develop and implement a Business Development strategic plan and review quarterly, using market and landscape developments to inform the activities.
Represent the Nellers brand and team at events and through a range of forums and channels.
Play a key role in identifying areas for improvement in our services.
Lead, develop and mentor the team to upskill their own business development capabilities.
Provide data analysis on market trends and quarterly reporting on lead generation, client conversion and other metrics as required.
Key Selection Criteria:
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar B2B sales or business development role, with experience and/or qualifications in HR, Payroll or Workforce Systems strongly preferred.
An authentic and engaging sales professional who understands the value of mutually beneficial contracts with clients and the importance of integrity.
Technical understanding of HR, Payroll and workforce systems required, with an ability to translate technical or complex information into compelling business benefits.
Experience in managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and business growth.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiations skills, with an ability to communicate without using jargon and effectively engage a variety of decision makers.
Ability to maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels, internal and external.
Strategic thinker, an ability to identify and pursue business opportunities.
Motivated, results oriented and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong business connections across Queensland, with the ability to leverage existing relationships to drive sales highly regarded.
