Our client provides end-to-end solutions for electrical infrastructure and critical power solutions across Australia. Due to continued business growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support their expanding team based in Cloverdale.
The Role: This exciting opportunity will see you managing and delivering power system projects from planning and design, to installation and commissioning. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyse client specifications and project objectives to create effective, customised engineering solutions
- Engage directly in the selection, configuration, and deployment of system equipment
- Liaise with drafting and purchasing teams and external vendors to confirm compliance with technical and quality standards
- Support or lead engineering assessments such as fault current analysis, grounding design, and protection system coordination
- Work with automation teams to ensure seamless PLC and SCADA system integration
- Collaborate with on-site personnel to confirm designs are easy to install, maintain, and operate
- Develop and assess HV electrical layouts in partnership with drafting specialists
- Prepare key technical documentation, including inspection plans, safety protocols, commissioning guides, and final handover files
- Oversee project elements under your control, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and performance expectations
- Help improve and implement standardised project workflows for better efficiency and consistency
- Other requirements as needed by the Engineering Manager or General Manager
About You:
To be successful in the position, you will require the following:
- Relevant qualification such as an Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years + experience in a similar role within the electrical infrastructure and power solutions industry
- Good interpersonal and report writing skills
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol assessment
- Full working rights
