Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Payroll Lead who’s ready to take ownership of payroll operations – locally and across multiple international regions – and play a key role in supporting out finance function as we scale. Responsibilities:

Payroll

Process Australian payroll in Xero with precision

Facilitate preparation of overseas payrolls with external advisors, including USA (via ADP), New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and the UK

Work closely with teams across the business to capture any payroll changes

Respond to payroll questions and help resolve any discrepancies

Reconcile payroll source data across systems

Ensure compliance with payroll related tax returns (superannuation, payroll tax, Workcover, etc)

Reconcile data, process payroll journals, and support with offboarding and exit cost analysis.

Collaborate with regional external partners to prepare tax-related reports

Any other payroll-related matters

General Finance Support

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and process improvements

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in payroll processing.

Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations and payroll laws is essential.

Experience with overseas payroll processing would be ideal, but not essential.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience with tax is desirable.
