About the role:
As the in-house Trust Accountant, you’ll manage all trust account functions, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting obligations. This is a hands-on, high-trust role where your attention to detail and accuracy will directly support the firm’s operations and reputation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Full management of trust accounts in line with legal and regulatory requirements

Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements

Managing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting

End-of-month and year-end financial reports for review by the Director

Cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance tracking

Maintaining licenses and audit readiness

Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements

What you’ll bring:

Experience managing trust accounts in a legal or professional services environment

Proficiency with MYOB, trust accounting systems (e.g. LEAP or Affinity), and Microsoft Excel

Strong general accounting, reporting, and payroll experience

Clear communication and the ability to liaise directly with senior management

A proactive and self-managed approach to work
