This is a work-from-home position with a preference for someone based in the Illawarra region (e.g. Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama) to allow for occasional in-person meetings. About Us:
Sea Change Health Professionals is a locally run allied health organisation that provides services across the NDIS, aged care, and community sectors. We’re looking for a highly experienced and detail-focused Senior Bookkeeper to support and manage our financial operations.

The Role:
This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident with numbers, well-organised, and able to lead by example. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, managing a small team, and ensuring our financial processes are clear, accurate, and up to date.

You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to improve systems and make sure we meet all compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle NDIS and aged care billing (incl. claims via PRODA)

Manage payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations in Xero

Process payroll and ensure BAS, IAS, super, and ATO compliance

Supervise a small bookkeeping team

Maintain clear SOPs for finance tasks

Track key financial metrics and support reporting

About You:
We’re looking for someone with strong experience, attention to detail, and confidence managing financial processes from start to finish.

Must-Have:

At least 5–7 years in a hands-on bookkeeping role

Solid working knowledge of the NDIS funding model and PRODA portal

Strong experience with Xero and Australian payroll laws

Comfortable creating and maintaining clear written SOPs

Preferably someone based in the Illawarra region, so we can meet in person from time to time for team collaboration or onboarding
