About the role

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team at H.U. Partners', based in Wayville, SA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a portfolio of small-to-medium sized businesses, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries

Preparing and processing payroll, including calculating tax and superannuation contributions

Generating and analysing financial statements, such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

Providing advice and support to clients on bookkeeping best practices and tax compliance

Liaising with external stakeholders, such as accountants, auditors, and tax authorities

Contributing to the continuous improvement of bookkeeping processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a public practice or small-to-medium enterprise environment

Strong working knowledge of accounting software, such as MYOB and Xero, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
